Summary

A front corner view of Nicholl's Hospital on Hyde Road, Manchester. The gothic building, designed by Thomas Worthington (1828-1909), was originally an ophanage, funded by Manchester mill owner Benjamin Nicholls in memory of his son John, who had died in 1859. Nicholl's Hospital is seen here on a bright sunny morning, before any people are about.
