Town Hall
Francis Frith 07/10/1822 - 25/02/1898
Summary
View of Manchester Town Hall, designed by Alfred Waterhouse and opened in 1877. We are looking from the corner of John Dalton Street, across the vast expanse of Albert Square: our view takes in the whole of the Town Hall, and the Albert Memorial to the right. The clock shows the time as twenty-five to six, and two early morning horse-drawn cabs are the only life to be seen at this early hour in the city.
