Mosley St
Francis Frith 07/10/1822 - 25/02/1898
Summary
A view up Mosley Street from the corner of St. Peter's Square, with Manchester Art Gallery on the right. A policeman stands in the centre of the road junction as a horse drawn cab and a cart laden with baskets pass by. People are walking along the pavements, and several men on the street corner linger to look at the photographer. A large poster on the corner of the gallery announces that the Free Exhibition of pictures, casts and textiles is now closed.
