Qual La Descanonan! (How they pluck her!)
Francisco Goya Y Lucientes 1746 - 1828
Summary
Three figures wearing white wigs with animal characteristics in their faces are gathered in a group. The figure shielding the group, stood upright at the back, is dressed as a magistrate. The two other figures dressed as police constables bend down and between them attempt to pluck the wings of a struggling creature that has the body of a bird and the head and torso of a female. Most of the background and figures are dark; the only highlighted part is the struggling creature and the hilt of the sword belonging to the figure on the right.
