Summary

A portrait of a middle aged man in an ornate frame. The subject is facing the viewer and wears a long curly wig and a shirt open at the neck. The base of the frame is decorated with mathematical instruments with a globe and a telescope to the bottom right corner and a book and scrolls to the bottom left corner. There is a central medallion with an image of two women with scientific instruments. The frame also has a scroll at the base inscribed "SIR ISAAC NEWTON".
