Summary

A portrait of a middle aged man in an ornate frame. The subject is wearing seventeenth century armour with a wide white collar. He has wavy hair and a small beard and moustache. The frame is decorated with a fringed cloth over the top and to the right. There is an anchor and rope to the left and a lion's head ornament at the centre; the mouth of the lion is filled with small cylinders. The frame is inscribed "ROBERT RICH EARL OF WARWICK". A portrait of Robert Rich, Earl of Warwick and Lord High Admiral.
