A view looking at a church that is in ruins. St Augustine's Church was on York Street, off Oxford Road, Manchester. It was bombed by the Luftwaffe on 23rd December 1940, as part of what became known as the 'Christmas blitz'. Edwards was an architect and sculptor who worked for Manchester City Council’s Architects Department.
