Principal Hopkinson, was Principal of Owens College 1898-1904, Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University, Manchester 1900-1913, and knighted in1910. From the Manchester Portraits series of twelve lithographed drawings by William Rothenstein, published in Manchester by J.E. Cornish in 1900.
