Summary

An old timber and brick built building in the centre of the image. It is two storeys high and has a tiled roof. A sign on the left between the ground and first floor reads "THE OLDEST/ LICENSED HOUSE/ IN GREAT BRITAIN/ ? OVER 540 YEARS". Hanging from near the top of the roof is a sign which has "Ye Olde/ Seven/ Stars" written on it. In the foreground is a group of people, on the right of this group is a man wearing a flat cap and he is holding a sporting newpaper. On the right is a woman stood holding a basket in her left hand.
