Summary

A street scene. A road runs down the middle of the image. A horse and cart, and a horse drawn omnibus aswell as people crossing can be seen on the road. A very large, five storey building is on the left, a sign next to the entrance reads "S & J WATTS & CO". On the right hand side is another five storey building. One of a series of drawings executed for Messrs. Cassell & Company's 'Manchester Old and New' by William Arthur Shaw, M.A.
