Summary

View looking into a cobbled courtyard. Buildings surround three sides. The one in the centre has an arched doorway with a double wooden door: this is Chetham's College. Three young men can be seen walking in the courtyard, two of whom wear the floor length uniform of the College students, The third is possibly a Grammar School boy, as he is dressed differently, in a hat and shorter coat, and he walks in front of the Grammar School building.
