Summary

Street scene, in the centre is a dark coloured building. This building has tall columns at the front supporting the roof. On the roof is a tall tower with a domed roof. Just below the domed roof can be seen a clock reading "4.10". The pavements are crowded with people. On the road in front of the church is a horse drawn omnibus. A couple of men are wearing sandwich boards, advertising The Palace Theatre. Hedley Fitton was an artist noted for his architectural etchings including churches. He was born in Didsbury, Manchester, in 1858 and resident there during the 1890s when he was an editor and illustrator for the Daily Chronicle in Manchester. He later moved permanently to Surrrey where he died in 1929.
