Summary

View of John Knox's house, in Edinburgh, around 1900s. John Knox (1514-1572) was leader of the Reformation. Hedley Fitton was an artist noted for his architectural etchings including street scenes. He was born in Didsbury, Manchester, in 1858 and resident there during the 1890s when he was an editor and illustrator for the Daily Chronicle in Manchester. He later moved permanently to Surrrey where he died in 1929.
