Assisi
Albert Goodwin R.W.S. 1845 - 1932
Summary
Viewed from the edge of a lake, visible on the left, and from behind dense undergrowth in the right foreground, is a steep mound surmounted by a walled settlement built of white stone. Leading from the settlement, diagonally down the slope, is a road; this takes the eye to the centre of the left edge of the composition, below which is a bridge at the edge of the lake.
