Sonning on the Thames

Patrick Nasmyth 1787 - 1831

Summary

A view along the River Thames at Sonning in Oxfordshire, and a densely wooded river bank to the right with a small cottage hidden amongst the trees, as well as a man and dog standing by a wooden fence at the water's edge. Two clumps of trees grow on small outcrops of land in the middle of the river to the left, with the sun setting in the sky above, which is reflected in the water.
