Summary

A mythological scene set depicting the mountain of Parnassus, with a calm lake to the right, surrounded by lush and dense forest, which is reflected in the water. Groups of semi-naked figures in diaphanous robes stand together at the water's edge. Three figures are in the foreground to the left, one dangling her hand in the water, the other two drying themselves.
