Manchester Cathedral

Alexander J. Mavrogordato 1869 - 1947

Summary

A city street scene. There is a large gothic cathedral clock tower to the left. The street is busy with crowds of people walking and horse drawn trams and carts. To the right the street is lined with street lamps. In the foreground at the bottom right corner are two men wearing bowler hats, scarfs and overcoats. There is a boy with a broom at the centre right foreground. A figure at the centre foreground appears to have been removed and the space filled in, leaving a sort of 'ghost'. There are buildings in the background.
