Bring Me Th' Same

Frederick William Jackson 1859 - 1918

Summary

A scene set in a restaurant, with two men seated at adjacent tables. The nearer of the two seated figures holds a menu and looks directly at the waiter, his clothes imply that he is of lower social standing than the second seated figure. The second seated figure in the group leans forward to look at the man speaking to the waiter. The waiter stands in profile to the right and is stood to the left of the table of the nearer figure with his hands in his pocket and a white cloth over his shoulder . The figure group is illuminated by the bright light flooding in through the window they are seated beside; the restaurant decor is suggestive of a high class venue.
