The Baronial Hall

George Cattermole 1800 - 1868

Summary

A scene showing a large bay in the corner of a room with lattice work windows. There is a group of three men seated around a table. The bay is suggested as a separate space by a wooden archway dividing it from the rest of the room. The walls in both the room and bay are partially panelled in wood and decorated with hunting and military trophies. In the right foreground is a table on which stands a bowl mounded with fruit.
