Summary

A reproduction produced by the Vasari Society of a drawing by Hans Holbein the elder. The drawing shows the bust of a man seen in three-quarter profile, facing slightly towards the left. His eyes are open and his lips are a little parted in a smile. He has shoulder length, wavy hair, and the details of his clothing are only vaguely sketched in. Text from the accompanying booklet produced by the Vasari Society: "No. 15 HANS HOLBEIN THE ELDER (b. about 1460; d. 1524) HEAD OF AN OLD MAN British Museum, 1885-5-9-1612. (From the Grahl Collection.) Silver-point on prepared paper. 12.8 x 9.4 cm. (5 x 3 3/4 in.)
