Summary

A scenic view of the river in the town of Harfleur, France. In the centre of the scene is the church of St Martin, whose spire towers over the other buildings. The river leads from the bottom of the scene up the centre. Houses and buildings line the bank of the river. Four boats are on the river, two are on the left bank and two are on the right bank. The river is crossed by a single arched bridge. Two small figures are on the bridge and a couple of figures are in the boats. A small tree grows beside the house to the right.
