Teas

Henry Lamb 1883 - 1960

Summary

A military scene depicting uniformed soldiers standing in line, holding metal tins while they wait for food. The men wear black caps, beige trousers and shirts. Trees to the back of the painting suggest rural surroundings, concealed by a large canvas tent which the men queue before. In the foreground, two soldiers pour water into tin buckets. Coal, firewood and smoke from large metal canisters can be seen to the right of the scene.
