Mees Hall

Mees Hall

Summary

A view of a country house, a stone building with timbered black-and-white gables and two thee-pot chimneys. This is labelled 'Mees Hall', although further information about this hall is missing. The trees to either side of the hall are in full leaf, and a stretch of smooth grey water occupies the foreground, with two cows in the meadow that runs down to it. The painting is naive in style, simply painted as if made to be a record of the place.
