Donald Hamilton Fraser 1929 - 2009

Summary

Thickly painted abstract arrangement of square and rectangular shapes. The upper half of the painting features mainly black shapes, whilst the lower half features bright shades of blue, green and yellow, arranged in a somewhat irregular pattern. The painting displays a very prominent contrast where these two shades of colour meet. The paint has been applied using a palette knife enabling the artist to acheive strong, geometric lines of colour.
