Forms on a Horizontal Surface

Forms on a Horizontal Surface

Summary

Abstract painting consisting of geometric blocks of colour overlapping, as well as lines intersecting at different angels. Reminiscent of collage, this painting technique suggests a spontaneous method of creation. The colours range from grey, blue, white, yellow to pewter. Various representational forms seem to emerge such as window/door structures. That paint application is thick and probably applied with a pallet knife to achieve such a range of stark, geometric angels.
