Summary
Two season tickets for the Royal Jubilee Exhibition, held in Manchester in 1887. The tickets are shield-shaped, covered in a royal blue, gold-embossed leather. They open out to reveal the terms and conditions and names of the bearers printed inside, and are stamped with the issuer's name (The Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank). They are ticket numbers 6501 and 6500, and belonged to Mrs Frances Warburton and Mr John Warburton of Withington. The ticket entitled the bearer to visit the exhibition for free as many times as they wanted, except on 'reserved days'.
