Italianate landscape within circular slip frame, overlooking wide river from steep bank in foreground with massive rocky cliff to right. Two figures sit on narrow grassy ledge to left beneath cliff, one fishing, a fallen tree trunk to left resting against a small rocky outcrop. River below to left, with steep bank and hazy plains beyond.
