Summary
Two stereoscopic ambrotypes. They both show a large crowd of people stood watching the unveiling of the Duke of Wellington Memorial in Piccadilly.The statue of the Duke of Wellington was carved by Matthew Noble (1818-1876), who also sculted the Albert Memorial statue facing the Town Hall.
