The School (Interior), Chetham's Hospital, Manchester.
Summary
Interior view looking in a high ceilinged room. The roof beams can be seen. In the room are old style school desks and forms which indicate that we are looking at the room from the teacher's point of view. At the back of the classroom are what we may assume to be tearching aids: a globe, a statue of a man, and a display cabinet on a table. The lithograph is made in a pen-and-ink style, with the darkness of the ceilings and walls between the beams conveyed by rough hatching and cross-hatching.
