The Cloister Court, Chetham's Hospital, Manchester.
Summary
View looking at the side of the medieval stone building that housed Chetham's Hospital. The wall recedes at angle to the right, and the main focus of the picture is probably the windows. They are trefoil-arched two-light windows set in arched surrounds. In front of the building is a stone, shaped like the base of a column, which may represent a feature such as a sun dial. The lithograph is made in a pen-and-ink style, with the texture of the old stone conveyed with different variations of hatched line.
