Summary

A street scene, of a wide grey road that curves away to the left. On the right is a row of terraced brick cottages with small front gardens, and a few nearer houses that front the pavement directly, which appear to be shops on their ground floors. In the distance are tall trees. In the foreground are a group of people who all face towards us. The painter seems to have concentrated their talents principally on the row of houses, and the people and road are less well depicted.
