Hulme Hall

Hulme Hall

Summary

A view of Hulme Hall, Manchester, from the garden side. The hall is an asymmetrical old timber construction on the bank of the river Irwell, which can be seen beyond the bluff on the right of the image. In the foreground, in the centre beneath a tall tree, is a soldier wearing a gold coloured plumed helmet and a red uniform coat with a white sash over his shoulder. To the right, two young men lounge on the river bank.
