Summary

A view of Hulme Hall, on the bank of the river Irwell, Manchester, delineated in pencil and shaded in a grey wash. The riverside facade of the hall is seen here from a low (river) viewpoint with the hall on the right, a row of tall trees to the left, and the grassy bank in the foreground. Three gables of the hall are shown, the shape of their timbers outlined. The gable to the left has protruding roof beams.
