Wriiten on the front cover in blue ink "Diary of Alice Milne/ on the early Suffragette Movement/ (W.S.P.U) from 28-8-1906 to/ November 1906. The diary was received from/ Alice Milne's sister, Miss Ivy Milne, informing the/ recipient, Mr. Bayard Simmons, that it was/ sent at the request of Alice Milne, aftaer the/ demise of the latter."
