Summary

This is a dramatic view of St.Michael's Mount and monastery against a dark, stormy sky. Light is shining on the monastery, picking it out against the clouds. A line of hooded figures, some on horseback, others walking, are proceeding down the beach towards the mount as the tide comes in, with waves approaching on left hand side. The closer figure at the rear of the line is on foot, and carrying some fishing nets. There is fishing equipment in the foreground lying on the sand.
