Summary

Painting of a dramatic, mountainous landscape with various cottages across the lower planes of the landscape. Our eyes are drawn up the dramatic mountain-side towards cloud-tipped regions in the background, predominantly represented in a blue colour. Dark shades of green add description to the lower parts of the landscape, with grey rocks jutting out from the ground. the sky is heavily clouded-over suggesting an oppressive and heavy element to the landscape.
