Summary
A still life oil painting depicting a number of objects placed on a drawing table (or writing desk) which stands in the corner of a room. A pad of paper and a smoking pipe lie on the table, around which stand a cup, a glass bottle and a decanter. The depictions are accurate, but the outlines and colours are rough: the desk is partially blue around where the objects lie, giving a daubed impression of its colour.
