Victor Brauner 1903

Summary

This cubist-style image shows a female figure in profile facing to the right with a flower in her mouth and her hand reaching to catch a disc in the upper right of the composition. The woman has the stalk of the flower coming out of her mouth, and the bud is positioned towards the upper edge, just above her nose. The woman's face is pointing upwards and her eye looks beyond the flower. The woman's hair is in a bun towards the left edge. The woman's neck and shoulders and her arm are both describes by large blue triangles pointing upwards. Her hand reaches up with the thumb pointing to the left, and above this is the floating disc of a dull grey circle encased in a dark tan and a pale pink ring. The background is a dark grey colour.
