Dr Charles White
Summary
Dr Charles White (1728-1813) was an eminent Manchester surgeon. He was a co-founder of the Manchester Royal Infirmary and St Mary's Hospital in 1790. He was also a founder member of the Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society where he was also Vice President. He was also the author of several works published between 1762 and 1779.
